Went out this past Sunday on a casual float, and by that I mean wake up casually and then eat a nice Sunday breakfast. After that, hit the water, and not be to worried about getting up early for better probable steelhead results. It was bright and sunny by the time we got out, but the water temperature was great for steelhead, and I figured we could at least scratch up a fish while doing a nice early afternoon float. We managed to get just one fish, but considering how casually we fished, the results were great. Here is a fun video to watch with the steelhead on you tube:

Otherwise, we did not get any other fish on this afternoon, but we did catch a really nice incidental rainbow on a swung steelhead fly. It was big enough to fool me for a little bit since it pulled like a steelhead would at first. We were surprised that it was a rainbow; especially for the steelhead fly that it decided to take.
